About PPO |
- PPO stands for Parent Powered Organization and is MCS’s version of a Parent Teacher Organization.
- MCS Parent Powered Organization is a fun way to be involved in your child’s school AND earn valuable service hours.
- PPO serves Muskegon Christian School in many ways, including
- Awarding approximately $7,000 in teacher grants each year.
- Contributing over $7,000 to the MCS general operating budget.
- Providing field trip funds for each class, K-8 (a total of approximately $3,200 each year).
- Coordinating various fundraisers, including Bowl-A-Thon and Read-A -Thon.
- Providing cookies/refreshments for school events.
- Assigning and training room parents.
- Recognizing teachers through appreciation lunch and the Christmas wish list.
- Recruiting volunteers for school events, recess duty, and service opportunities.
