Our teachers remind us that God made us all different, that the things in this world do not happen by accident and that we have a purpose. Everything we do is connected to the Bible.

We serve a diverse community – racially, economically, geographically and denominationally.
- MCS has a minority representation of approximately 25%, roughly the same as Muskegon County. This provides a valuable opportunity for our students to recognize the truth of the fact that Jesus died for all of us, and is pleased when we live, learn and worship together.
- Students from MCS come from the City of Muskegon as well as Grand Haven, Whitehall, Twin Lake and other outlying areas.
- MCS also has approximately 60 different churches represented by its student body. The school has formally adopted the creedal statements of the Christian Reformed Church. Our families have been comfortable with the manner in which we approach the study and understanding of the Bible and the application of what we learn from scripture to our daily lives.
- MCS seeks to foster a diverse community in the area of student ability as well. Not only does MCS seek to serve those students who excel in their studies by providing stimulating opportunities, MCS also seeks to help those who need extra assistance to make full use of their talents. We coordinate our Title I and Gifted and Talented programs through our Student Advocate.
At MCS, there are not cliques like at the other schools I’ve been at. Here, students see the differences, but they are willing to talk about them and work out their issues.
