THIS YEAR IN ENGLISH
~ 2009-2010 ~
Time really flies when are you having fun! This has been a wonderful year for me with the students, staff, and my family too! My school year began with an addition to my family (an adopted foster pet named 'Peanut"), my husband going back to college, and a spunky group of seventh grade homeroom students to enjoy. I was even pleasantly surprised with the returning 8th graders that seemed transformed spiritually and physically. Everyone seemed taller than they were before and changed for the better. The difficulty was watching the wonderful eighth grade class leave MCS, but at least several of them promised to visit from time to time next year.
Speaking of a change for the better, my seventh grade homeroom really worked hard at the spiritual disciplines of patience, joy, and self-control. We learned several stories of people who chose to remain positive (and not complain) in dyer circumstances. God can do great things when we focus on His goodness! I hope true and continuous contentment remains a focus for the summer in their lives.
I wish you all a great summer and a sincere thank you to my students for their hard work, my friends for their generosity & prayer, and all the parents who did so much for my class and the school. God Bless You!
