Materials for 2nd graders

a pack of #2 pencils
1 two pocket sturdy folder
clipboard (wooden are best)
1 spiral wide ruled notebook 50-70 pages
backpack (it must fit in your locker)
pencil box (must fit in your desk)
box of 24 crayons
box of kleenex or container of clorox wipes
a 1 inch 3 ring binder
P.E. shoes (recommended by P.E. teacher)

Optional items:

ruler
fun pencils
waterbottle
markers
glue stick
exercise ball (55cm recommended) for sitting on in class

For Art Class (all MCS Students):
paint shirt
9" x 12" spiral sketch book
#2 pencils

For Spanish Class (all MCS Students):
2-pocket folder

Second Grade - Mrs. Menefee

The 2nd Grade Mall. Each 2nd Grader made his/her own product and then "sold" it at the 2nd Grade Mall. We had so much fun applying what we had learned about producers, consumers, goods, and services.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Below are a few reminders of our short week.

Wednesday morning December 21^st the K-3^rd graders will be caroling at the Christian Nursing Homes in the area. If have not sent in your child’s red permission slip, please do so by tomorrow. Thank you!
You can bring in money for Family Promise through Wednesday!
School resumes Tuesday, January 3rd.

Have a wonderful break with your family. May you experience God's love sent down through the birth of his son Jesus! What an amazing gift this was to each of us!

Jen Menefee

Mrs. Menefee grew up in Muskegon and attended both MCS and WMCHS. She earned her elementary education degree from Calvin College and obtained her Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities from Grand Valley State University. Her Special Education Endorsements are in Learning Disabilities and Emotional Impairments. Jennifer has 11 years experience in Christian Education.

Mrs. Menefee is very excited to be teaching second greade because second graders are such eager learners. She believes that having the opportunity to teach 2nd grade at MCS is providential since this was her first year at MCS when she was a child. She loves to share her faith with students and watch them grow in their personal relationship with God. She is eager to explore God's wonderful world with MCS Second Graders.

When not teaching, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband, son and daughter, outdoor activities, and photo scrapbooking online.
